Fletcher Parks and Recreation
A small town to have such big ideas! The Town of Fletcher has the leadership
and the opportunity to do what no other southeastern U.S. city has done: to
connect their entire town with an off-road transportation network for non-
motorized travel.
This master plan for greenways and trails envisions over thirteen miles of
winding pathways, weaving between towering willow trees alongside Cane and
Hooper’s Creek, connecting the new school to neighborhoods, and enhancing
the viability of the proposed Town Center. Rest stops near the water’s edge or
set overlooking the ball fields in the park will invite residents and visitors to travel
by trail and not by car. Tourists will see Fletcher as a destination of choice, to
experience what no other community in the region has: a green connection.
