FLETCHER COMMUNITY CHORUS PRESENTS Alive, Alive O! Under the musical direction of M. King Goslin, this lively pre-St. Paddy’s Day performance will feature guest musicians Hallie Sheaffer, Clarinet, and Mark Sheaffer, Percussion with accompanist Anita Freeman at the piano. The Concert will take place on Friday, March 14th at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall at Calvary Episcopal Church on Route 25 in Fletcher. An array of rousing Irish favorites including a heartfelt arrangement of the ever popular “Danny Boy” as well as “Too-ra-Loo-ra-Loo-ra” and “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling” will be presented by 18 enthusiastic singers. A great evening is promised for all! Admission to this event is free. For more information please call 654-0218. Fletcher Arts and Heritage Association (FAHA) has announced a new phase in its efforts to establish a community chorus in Fletcher. Thanks, in part, to a grant from the Community Foundation of Henderson County, FAHA has been able to fund the services of a professional director. M. King Goslin, a well known local musician, choir director and vocal instructor, will conduct the Chorus. Calvary Episcopal Church has again offered the use of its choir room for Thursday night rehearsals. Rehearsals will take place at Calvary Episcopal Church on Thursday evenings at 7 pm through March 13. Everyone interested in singing is invited to attend these rehearsals; there will be no auditions.
