Fletcher Parks and Recreation and the Fletcher Garden Club is in the process of building an
arboretum at our existing Fletcher Community Park which will consist of eight gardens.
This arboretum will be in addition to our existing youth baseball fields, soccer fields, adult
softball field, large picnic shelter, playground and walking trails. The gardens would include a
moonlight garden, a winter garden, a native plants garden, a perennial garden, a children’s
maze, a Japanese garden, a conifer garden and a touch n’ feel garden.

This is a community driven project and the Fletcher Parks and Recreation’s Park
Maintenance Staff and the Fletcher Garden Club will donate their time and resources to
install and complete all work associated with the proposed arboretum.  The Fletcher Garden
Club members are Fletcher residents who volunteer their time to add creative landscaping
and teach stewardship practices to businesses and residents in the Town.

Update on the progress.  The perennial garden was completed in the spring of 2007 and
we will be planting the winter, moonlight and touch n' feel gardens this Spring 2008.

To continue building these gardens and to finish this arboretum at Fletcher
Community Park  we need to your help!
